Norman Wilwayco   , born 2   nd   of October year 1972 Lives in Quezon City.  Aside from being a multiple award winner, plays bass for a rock and roll band and multimedia design web sites. He also writes for   Filmless Films   . He previously wrote for the popular television show   Enduring   (an educational show for children)   and has contributed articles to   dawn,   Manila Times   and   Inquirer   .        

He is the one who started the famous blog " Hay! Men!  The Blog of real men during nakakalalake "   The complete name of one of the most popular blogs in the Philippines.  More commonly called  as the   real men blog.    

Wilwayco attended the 48th UP National Writers Workshop held at Camp John Hay, Baguio City last April 2009, he became the subject of jokes by some fellow, panels and enjoy the attributes of "real man." After the workshop, did Wilwayco blog and invited fellow fellow Mikael Co as a poster.  Two days later, the haymen has gone viral, with the help of hyperlinking and sharing practices of the users of Facebook, Twitter, Plurk, blog and forum sites.      

At the start of this blog, contributor or different "posters" puts a picture of a man, whether real or fictional, and then judged whether "real man (True Man)", "not real man (Not True Man)" or " under consideration (UC) "based on the   Manifesto of true man .  ---   The real man is not sleeping.  The real man is not text back, unless forwarding load.  However, always his answer vague. The real men always have extra rice. The real man is not vegetarian. A real man does not have abs. these are some manifestos of a real man according to Norman. The blog site is really funny and educational at the same time.





Some of his works are  : Responde , the content of this article reflects the image of life in the depths of our society. The bottom of society who is always striving, and accustomed to living in poverty or live in normal life difficulties. Thus, the story is usually Responde types of poor neighborhoods. Reading it, you will witness the typical life, and how to live such unfortunate fate like addictions, sexual and school-tumor, slums, squatter punks, activists, communist, and other forms of human will be featured in the book which is basically the current situation of most Filipino communities.




Another is How I Fixed My Hair After a Rather Long Journey is Norman's triple Wilwayco Palanca-winning novel, which won in 2002, won as a short story in 2000 and won best screenplay last 2003. One review in Good Read says that "This is another book, a local one this time. You will not find anything likeable but since it is written brilliantly, I have no qualms of giving this a 5-star rating here in Good Reads. You hate the characters and what they do but you love the writing. "


His work entitled   Guerrilla   was Palanca award winner (one being the prestigious Grand Prize for the novel in 2002) he was awarded many times in Carlos Palangca Awards.  He was a fellow of the UP Writers Workshop and won the first prize in the Amado Hernandez Award for Literature in 1999. Truly an outstanding regional writer.
